BCIT Biotechnology Animal Cell Culture Course

July 19 - 30, 2022

Event Navigation

Are you looking to gain hands-on skills for jobs in the life sciences? Animal cell culture is an essential skill for many jobs in biotechnology and life sciences labs, but extensive practical training is not offered in most undergraduate programs. The BCIT Biotechnology Department has 20+ years of experience teaching animal cell culture to students in the Joint UBC-BCIT Honours B.Sc. in biotechnology program. We are now offering this expert training as a condensed 2-week microcredential. In this course, a small group of trainees will acquire 45 hours of hands-on experience culturing, maintaining and manipulating mammalian cells using “good aseptic technique” over 10 laboratory sessions. The first offering of this Animal Cell Culture microcredential runs July 18th to 29th, week days only. For more details and to apply see the website link below.
