SUMMARY:WiP Seminar: Dr. Anita Ho
DESCRIPTION:From AI for Degenerative Conditions to Generative AI: Ethical Considerations \nArtificial intelligence (AI) has garnered tremendous attention in health care\, and there are high hopes that AI predictive algorithms can empower self-monitoring patients to prevent\, identify\, and manage illness progression. Drawing from lessons derived from an embedded ethics study exploring stakeholders’ views around the use of computer vision to monitor and predict the progression of Parkinson’s Disease\, this presentation introduces my new research on using a multi-layer ethical framework that attends to intersecting personal\, interpersonal\, professional/institutional\, and societal considerations to navigate the rapidly expanding space of using generative AI in health care.
