SUMMARY:19th Annual Earl W. Davie Symposium
DESCRIPTION:This annual 1-day symposium honours Dr. Earl W. Davie’s scientific contributions in hemostasis-thrombosis\, which have impacted on the care of patients world-wide. He and his colleagues devised the revolutionary Waterfall Sequence for Blood Clotting\, and subsequently\,  throughout the 1960s and ’70s\, applied cutting edge technologies to identify and characterize most of the coagulation proteins and their genes. For his many remarkable achievements\, Dr. Davie\,  a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Washington in Seattle\, was widely acclaimed\, receiving numerous awards\, including investiture as a member of the US National Academy of Science. He was a wonderful teacher and mentor\, and he left a legacy that will be felt for many generations.\n\nRegister today!

DESCRIPTION:Simon Fraser University’s Gerontology Research Centre invites you to the Research Day on Aging. This free event will take place on Thursday\, November 6\, 2025\, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (PT) at the SFU Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue. Join us for this university-wide celebration of interdisciplinary research and innovation in the field of aging.
