SUMMARY:28th Annual Canadian Society of Echocardiography Hybrid Echo Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleagues and Friends of Science in Vancouver Community\, \nI am delighted to share that we will be hosting the 2026 Canadian Society of Echocardiography (CSE) Echo Weekend in Vancouver\, the national flagship echocardiography conference\, taking place April 30–May 2\, 2026. This upcoming meeting marks a very special milestone: for the first time in the past 28 years\, CSE Echo Weekend will be held in beautiful Vancouver! We have assembled a truly star-studded and content-rich program\, bringing together many distinguished echocardiographers\, sonographers\, imagers\, clinicians\, scientists\, and colleagues from across Canada and around the world\, and showcasing cutting-edge science\, technology\, and advances in cardiac imaging in 2026. \nThis dynamic three-day experience is designed to foster interactive learning\, multidisciplinary dialogue\, and meaningful clinical impact\, and will include (partial highlights): \n– Featured symposia and plenary sessions covering advanced echocardiography topics\, including diastolic function and the new guidelines\, right heart assessment and pulmonary hypertension\, cardiomyopathies\, artificial intelligence\, congenital heart disease\, state-of-the-art valve assessment\, and stress echocardiography \n– Joint sessions with CT and MRI colleagues\, exploring cutting-edge multimodality approaches to patient-centered cardiovascular care \n– Hands-on learning labs and workshops\, including strain imaging\, 3D echocardiography\, contrast echo\, and POCUS (cardiac and lung) essentials \n– Poster presentations and moderated scientific abstract sessions\, with judging and awards recognizing outstanding research \n– Signature social events\, including the Welcome Dinner\, President’s Reception\, and networking opportunities that bring our community together \n– Special activities\, such as a Stanley Park Fun Run to kick off the weekend for those who wish to join \nOne highlight we are especially excited about is a live interventional valve case (tricuspid valve repair or replacement)\, demonstrating how echocardiography and interventional cardiology work seamlessly together to deliver cutting-edge\, patient-centered care. \nAnd yes\, we promise Echo Weekend 2026 will also be fun. In addition to an outstanding scientific program\, we are planning social events that celebrate collegiality\, connection\, and the joy of learning together. \nWe hope you will join us for a memorable weekend of exceptional cardiac imaging\, science\, and innovation\, set against the inspiring backdrop of Vancouver. Please feel free to share this announcement with colleagues who may be interested. \nRegistration information:\nhttps://www.cseweekend.ca/registration/registration-information \n\nBest regards\, \nTeresa S.M.
