SUMMARY:CBR Virtual Summer Seminar Series
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Hugh Kim\, Associate Professor\, Faculty of Dentistry\nAssociate Member\, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology\nPI\, Centre for Blood Research \nTopic: “The actin cytoskeleton and pro-inflammatory platelet function” \nPresented by:Enoli De Silva\, Ph.D. Candidate\, Dr. Manoj Paul\, Postdoctoral Fellow\, Dr. Kalyan Golla\, Postdoctoral Fellow \nPlatelet function is largely regulated by the actin cytoskeleton\, which is continuously remodeled and forms the structural backbone of the cell. Our group’s research is focused on uncovering the molecular mechanisms by which the actin cytoskeleton (and its associated regulatory proteins) modulate platelet activation\, secretion and survival.
