DESCRIPTION:The British Columbia Cancer Agency Graduate Student and Post Doctoral Fellow Society has created the event “Diversify Research” in order to encourage BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ students to pursue science and cancer research. \nWe are inviting 11th and 12th-grade high school students to learn the fundamentals of cancer and cancer research from graduate students and postdoctoral fellow mentors. \nSeveral modules will be taught online previous to the in-person date. \nOn August 18th\, there will be an in-person day where the students can visit the Research Institute to see the laboratories. \nApply today! Deadline for applications June 15.

He holds a PhD in the History of Technology from the University of Alberta. Chris is Editor of Quest: the History of Spaceflight Quarterly\, and he is also a Fellow and past president of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. \nBig Ideas Lecture Series  \nThis is the second event in our Big Ideas Lecture Series.
