Presenter
Andrea Globa, Director of Business Development, Mitacs
Andrea graduated with a PhD in Neuroscience from UBC in 2017. She currently works for Mitacs, a not-for-profit organization working with 60 universities, thousands of companies, and both federal and provincial governments, to build partnerships that support industrial and social innovation in Canada. Andrea helps university researchers access Mitacs funding, and connects eligible non-profits, local businesses, and multinational companies with UBC researchers for applied research collaborations.
Mitacs manages and funds research and training programs for undergraduate, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows in partnership with universities, industry, and government – creating opportunities for you to develop your career through new research connections, experience, and professional skills training.
