Science Rendezvous and International Astronomy Day celebrates science through a combination of science demonstrations and activities that revolve around food, climate, reconciliation and home.  A few examples of topics and discussions would include:

• chemical reactions in the kitchen and how food ingredients can create all sorts of mixtures, solutions and chemical changes
• earth science presentations on natural disasters and their effects on climate changes and the environment
• Indigenous culture presented in general astronomy through Indigenous names of stars and constellations and the ancestral stories behind these stars

• Foodwebs and foodchains in local habitats such as kelp forests and other nearby environments that communities can help protect and sustain
