Social Venture Studio Snacks & Learn: SDG Workshop and Social
Have you heard about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals? For those who are a part of an impact-driven venture, the UN SDGs serve as an internationally recognized framework to communicate your impact as well as guide your efforts to ensure progress and facilitate collaboration with others who want to make the world a better place.
The Social Venture Studio invites you to join us for our first Snacks & Learn workshop, with a focus on the UN SDGs and Entrepreneurship, which will be a part of a series of workshops throughout the year. This event has two parts:
- an interactive workshop for venture founders: learn about the SDGs, why we should use them, and hear directly from the experience of a founder (Wei Chou from CargoSprout) on how they’ve identified their SDGs and how they are addressing them.
- social meet-up! Immediately following the workshop, we’ll welcome community members and mentors to join us, and we’ll chat about all things social and environmental impact! Light refreshments will be provided.
During this event you will:
- Learn about the SDGs and hear from a SVS founder about how they integrated the SDG framework into their operations
- Get clarity on how to communicate your venture’s impact for grant funding, investors, government, and other stakeholders
- Meet our community of UBC entrepreneurs and connect with like-minded entrepreneurs and innovators!
