Science Slam Canada is bringing you a slam like no other, as part of Science Odyssey, Canada’s largest science and technology festival!
The event will feature science slammers from across the country. Experience the science, talent, and excitement you’re used to from our past slams, all from the comfort of your own home!
What exactly is a science slam? Based on the format of a poetry slam, a science slam is a competition where speakers gather to share their science with you – the audience. Slammers have 5 minutes to present on any science topic without the use of a slideshow and are evaluated by an amazing panel of judges based on communication skills, audience impact, and scientific content. Props and creative presentation styles are encouraged!
