Nanomedicine is a relatively new field that is currently gaining steam and is expected to contribute to the future of health care and personalized medicine in a significant way. At the University of British Columbia (UBC) and other Vancouver-based universities, biotechnology companies and health related institutes, there is a significant amount of research going on in the nanomedicine area. To make these efforts more visible, allow for collaborative projects, and share the available resources, the now already second Vancouver Nanomedicine Day 2017 will take place on Friday, September 29, 2017.

We are proud to announce that one of the pioneers of the use of nanomaterials for cancer therapy, Dr. Warren Chan, will give one of the invited talks.  Also confirmed are Dr. Kannan Krishnan to speak about in vivo Magnetic Particle Imaging and Dr. Francois Baneyx about protein-based synthesis of nanostructures for use in biology and medicine.

Vancouver Nanomedicine Day 2017 is free, and we will provide you with all the food and even beer and pretzels during the poster session at the end of day. However, you do have to register – but the excellent talks make it worthwhile.

With this call for abstract submission, we are inviting you to provide us with your best Nanomedicine work for consideration as a talk or poster. Please register with the link below. Deadline for abstract submission is Wednesday, August 23, at midnight. The abstract should be a single page, include ideally a graph, be formatted like this example file here, and be submitted as a PDF file.
