As our Research Scientist you will be reporting to your team lead, be responsible for various research projects that will give you a great opportunity to show your skills and achieve truly innovative work. Throughout these projects, you will actively participate in lab-work, drafting study plans and analyzing and interpreting scientific data. Prioritization management and playing a hands-on role are critical for success in this position.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Generate recombinant cell lines, GMP transformation/transfection for cell banking.
- Protein production recombinant antigen/antibody.
- Establish new laboratory capacities.
- Design experiment and proper laboratory documentation.
- Contribute on validation and production documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to manage timeline and deliverables.
- Autonomous work to ensure that the deliverables are delivered on time.
WHAT YOU BRING
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemical/Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or related discipline with 2+ years of relevant industry experience. Candidates with BSc or MSc degrees and 4+ years of industry experience will also be considered.
- Strong molecular biology background, including expression plasmid design, cloning, plasmid extraction and purification, PCR etc.
- Strong mammalian cell culture skills with adherent and suspension cells (preferably with CHO cell lines).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive can-do attitude with a willingness to expand skill set and responsibilities.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with CHO cell biology.
- Experience with hybridoma technology.
- Experience with single-cell cloning, automation, and high-throughput technologies as applied to industrial CHO cell line development workflows for recombinant protein manufacturing.
- Knowledge of international quality and regulatory guidelines related to cell line development.
- Experience and knowledge of a range of CMC operations within biopharmaceutical development.
- Experience in writing protocols, SOPs, policies, risk assessments etc.
