On Tuesday, November 7, six finalists will compete in the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) second-annual Venture to Stop Diabetes Challenge, a competition to identify emerging, innovative solutions for improved diabetes prevention and management. The finalists’ submissions represent opportunities to simplify, enhance and increase access to diabetes treatment and care.
The 2017 finalists were selected from applicants in the U.S. and internationally, based upon the following criteria: relevance, creativity and innovation, feasibility and sustainability, and organization and clarity. Proposals will be judged by a panel of stakeholders in the diabetes ecosystem, including ADA leadership, innovation incubators, corporate investment leaders, and the private insurance industry. The winning submission will receive positive alignment with the ADA and favorable introductions to ADA sponsors and partners in an effort to bring the product to market.
