The CIHR Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH) in partnership with the Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health (ICRH); Institute of Health Services and Policy Research (IHSPR); Institute of Infection and Immunity (III); Institute of Indigenous Peoples’ Health (IIPH); Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (IMHA); and Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction (INMHA) is pleased to announce an investment of $1.69 million to fund 17 recipients of our CIHR Early Career Investigators in Maternal, Reproductive, Child and Youth Health (2018) grants. We would also like to say thank you to the applicants’ funding partners who made this opportunity possible by providing matched funding.

The funded early career investigators will conduct research across the four CIHR themes (biomedical, clinical, health systems services, and population health) that has the potential to have a significant impact on maternal, reproductive, child and youth health outcomes. Projects funded range from addressing insomnia during pregnancy, through how to support children with motor difficulties, to identifying risk and resilience factors influencing mental health and wellness among First Nations children and youth.
